Greetings. I will be your waifu this season.

Exactly. I can't really think of a series that didn't get dull after the 3rd movie, it is very rare that a trilogy is consistently interesting heck half the time they're trilogies because the third movie is terrible and nobody wants a fourth :p

I think the way Star Wars is broken up in to trilogies is a good way to offset that, each trilogy can focus on different themes and such.

Instead of just being the same s*** 9 movies in a row, as if that wouldn't be awful, look at Transformers...

People need to take a step back and realize that the OT contains some of perhaps their favourite movies ever and that they're always going to rate them just a bit higher than everything else because of that.

It's difficult for a franchise to reach 9 movies outside of the horror genre, which can produce low-grade slop over and over at its leisure. Sci-fi/adventure stuff is a lot harder because you usually have to put more thought into it.

Horror movies are awesome, though. F13, NoE'sS, Halloween, TCM, etc.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

I still don't see why people say Godfather is such a good movie, I'm convinced most people who do say that say so just because...it's Godfather, of course it's the best movie ever.

Even if it is like 80 hours long and...really really slow. A "masterpiece" should appeal to way more people.

Something like Star Wars I wouldn't call a masterpiece but it's definitely more appealing in a general sense.

Anyway I still don't see what was supposedly so terrible about the movie and I really wonder what all the people who will probably forever say the OT is better are even asking for, the expectations seem absurdly high as though the OT was flawless but weirdly it's not often you see people go in to specifics about how it "should" be.

I also challenge anyone to find a movie series with consistently good story, movie quality etc etc where the 7th movie hasn't lost any of the magic of the first...
Not appeal to everyone still it is over 9 at imdb.

Btw,have you ever seen a movie critic before? They view not only the Bay elements of spectacular destruction, high paced fights, but the character developement and dialogues, plot and what could possibly a movie tell to its viewers.

Godfather is the perfect example for that. If you watch all of the the three movies, you can easily feel the downfall of Michael Corleone as he put everything what he got to make his dream come true, even if he had to destroy everything /family, friends/ in the meantime.

You can feel the drama, its like you were the part of the suffering and agony of what michael felt, during those decades.

Godfather is a classic, an undisputable movie classic which can not even surpassed by the likes of Empire strikes back, let alone The force awakens.

The acting, the plot, the story conclusion and the critical consensus are way above of any of the star wars movies. It is just that good

PS : As for boring .... yeah someone might find the interstellar boring like hell, and watch/prefer Transformers 1 instead as it is more action packed, yet we all knew that the former surpasses the Transformersin everything from acting to plot .

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

I loved this film. It was brilliant! It excelled in all of the following: acting, pacing, atmosphere, and action.

I cannot definitively rank TFA without seeing it more. For now though, I would definitely place it in the top three, next to Empire and A New Hope.
We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own.
